Restaurant Review: Dillinger’s, Greenbelt
First time to eat Dillinger’s and I was dining with my closest friends
We were looking for something like a drinking place (except that since I was driving, I won’t be drinking) that served good food as well. So this pub-ish place in Greenbelt was suggested by Kars, and it seemed a perfect fit.
Though the Greenbelt area is very open to foreigners, Dillinger’s had tons of them dining and drinking here. Maybe the food options are friendlier and more familiar to their palette.
Our orders were not in theme, they seemed to have a variety of choices that we decided to take advantage of. So on our table, we had mozarella sticks (common appetizer), buffalo wings and mashed potatoes (Kars’ order), burger (Ara’s order), Filipino breakfast meal (Mau’s order, does not have picture), Italian sausage breakfast meal (my order), and Fish and Chips (Sushee’s order). And yes, I like sausages, and I like breafkast.
As the buffalo wings were placed on our table, Kars started “suffocating” from the chili smell. We were seated facing each other, and I wasn’t getting the hit from the chili until after I made an effort to smell it. The stench (or odor – sounds friendlier) kinda hits suddenly and you are left gasping for air. Spicy. But upon taste, it was just right. Not overpoweringly so.
The side that Kars’ ordered was the mashed potatoes. It looked generous, and it was creamy and chunky. I liked it. I never made creamy yet chunky potatoes before. Another one on my to-do list
I never got to try Ara’s order (must be because I was busy wolfing down my meal (that’ s why I forgot to ake a picture of it). It looks small in the picture, but the patty was thick. As the server said, it wasn’t just burger, it was BURGER. True enough
For something around P225, I was happy with my food. I wish I had more sausage, but since I had rice, I didn’t feel the need to have more sausage. Mau’s tapa, on the other hand, was too sweet. I guess we have the same penchant of not liking the sweet stuff.
But with good drinks on hand (for them), this was good grubs
I would love to go back here again, even if the service of the food is ultimately slow. I was ravishing after a few minutes of waiting, and breakfast food is usually cooked fast anyways. But the budget worked.
Another drink please

[...] one of them too. We were at the (apparently, recently open) W Grill in Greenbelt, which is beside Dillinger’s on the third floor. Our friends were almost done with the first platter and first round of drinks [...]
